Our services include both Domestic and International shipping, with a choice of payment options. Headquartered in Delphos, Ohio, Metalcraft operates in the Eastern Time Zone.
Metalcraft History

1967 - Company started as Ohio Metalcraft, Inc. by Paul J. Birkmeier. It was a wholly owned subsidiary of Hagan Manufacturing Company. Production was established in a 1300 sq ft block building on the banks of the Miami-Erie Canal. The original vase was made of spun aluminum with a vacuum plated finish.

1969 - Metalcraft experimented with a new technology, powder paint.

1971 - The company separated from the parent company and was incorporated as U.S. Metalcraft, Inc. The vase manufacturing process and materials were changed to slush cast zinc for heavier quality.

1973 - Metalcraft continued to grow and expand from a regional company to a national sales force. The Continental Collection was introduced consisting of the Classic, Crown, Gem, and Crest vase designs.

1979 - The company moved into a 5,500 sq ft larger four story facility, known as the Cigar Factory.

1984 - As volume was increased with broad national acceptance, the manufacturing process was converted to die cast aluminum.

1985 - A fully integrated computer system was installed throughout the office.

1987 - Joel Birkmeier, Paul's youngest son, joined the company in a sales and marketing role. An extensive B2B telemarketing department was initiated to support outside sales efforts.

1988 - A second powder coating room was added to accommodate the increased amount of growth.

1989 - Stephen Birkmeier, Paul's son, joined in the role of controller.

1990 - Metalcraft began a marketing blitz by attending state and national trade shows while they expanded advertising nationally.

1993 - Metalcraft purchased adjoining property with an additional 38,000 sq ft of space.

1996 - Metalcraft acquired tooling of the Monument Flower Vase Co. A number of their vase designs are added to the Metalcraft product line.

1997 - Founder Paul J. Birkmeier died.

1998 - New corporate logo and brand identity was created.

2000 - Successfully passed through the Y2K scare. New vase designs were added for specific applications.

2001 - Cremation Urns were added to the Metalcraft product line.

2002 - Automated powder coating line was designed. 10,000 sq ft addition added to house new operation.

2004 - First Metalcraft vase rolls off the automated line.

2005 - Metalcraft introduced Solar Powered Vigil Lights.

2006 - Various new colors were developed to match the rise of imported granites.

2007 - New technology was implemented to integrate logistics and service functions.

2008 - A new Web-based presence is introduced to provide customers quicker and updated information electronically.

Today - With increased concentration on marketing, public relations and above all, high standards of customer service, Metalcraft continues to grow. As an industry leader, Metalcraft's expansion plans are carefully developed to ensure the company's future in the changing world of memorialization.
